The Department of Exact Sciences of the University of the Armed Forces – ESPE, in joint work with the Social Security Institute of the Armed Forces @Issfa Ecuador, held the “Open House of the University of the Elderly”, an event that aimed to make visible the academic, cultural and networking activities that are carried out for the benefit of the elderly.

The University of the Elderly – ESPE project strengthens institutional accreditation processes by evidencing an effective link with society, oriented to priority attention groups and aligned with national and international development objectives.

The active participation of students, teachers and authorities strengthens the spaces for integration, learning and recognition of the active role of the elderly within the community.

The meeting with the military personnel of the University of the Armed Forces – ESPE, led by the Rector, Crnl. Mauricio González, allowed to socialize the institutional guidelines and address the concerns raised by the attendees. During the meeting, the importance of military students maintaining the focus on their academic training and responsibly complying with the scholarships granted by the Armed Forces was highlighted, reaffirming the commitment to be good students and good soldiers.

The Rector shared his experience as a former student, motivating the attendees to persevere in their training. The day took place in an atmosphere of dialogue and commitment, strengthening the relationship between authorities and the university community.

Army General Henry Delgado Salvador, Chief of the Joint Command of the Armed Forces, paid a visit to the Rector of the University of the Armed Forces – ESPE, Crnl. Mauricio González, with the purpose of consolidating coordinated work, establishing strategic guidelines and providing support to university management.

In the #ESPEU we received the official visit of Colonel E. P. Manuel Augusto Inocente Espinoza, Defense and Military Attaché to the Embassy of Peru in the Republic of Ecuador, a meeting that reaffirms the ties of cooperation and military diplomacy between both nations.

The delegation was received by Crnl. Mauricio González, rector of the University of the Armed Forces – ESPE, with whom they held a meeting aimed at strengthening academic, strategic and institutional exchange initiatives.

We continue to build alliances that promote excellence and the international projection of our institution.

Today we honor the memory, the trajectory and the legacy that build our institutional history.

In a solemn act, Crnl. Mauricio González, rector of the University of the Armed Forces – ESPE, paid tribute to those who have left an indelible mark on our classrooms: our retired teachers, trainers of generations, whose commitment, vocation and excellence transcend time and become inspiration.

This significant event was attended by Brigadier General Frank Landázuri Recalde, Inspector General of the Land Force, as well as the distinguished Catalina Dávila Pazmiño, daughter of Eng. Jorge Ignacio Dávila Rojas, whose presence gave an even deeper and more human meaning to this tribute.

Likewise, the naming of the Room of the Honorable University Council as “Engineer Jorge Ignacio Dávila Rojas” was carried out, a fair recognition of a life marked by ethics, service and academic excellence, whose legacy will last in every space of our university.

Today, more than acknowledging, we are grateful.

Because the greatness of #ESPEU is built with stories that leave a mark.
